Just get 'er done

Mentality

Today's session started a bit later than usual because I had to drop off Senna at the vet at 8 to get neutered. Poor guy, I hated having to leave there. Anyways, today's session was pretty great! I was debating going in because of the time, but work isn't busy so I thought it would be okay.

Strengh Training

Today's programming had split jerks which I'm still not fully 100% comfortable with. But they honestly felt good today, I really thought of the cue to push from midfoot and it helped. I definitely underestimated how hard single arm overhead dumbbell tricep extension was gonna be. I used a 7.5lb db because damn that was tought.

Swimming

A lot more people in the pool today. I'm glad I can't see how many people are in there before I step in, or else I feel like I would probably be like "Oh there's too many people, I'll come back tomorrow". Today felt like a "just get it done" session, a good mentality to have. I knew what the programming was and I went in there and just did it. Which in the past was tough because I was overthinking a lot and didn't feel comfortable one bit. Now I'm just doing it you know? 100m? Okay just do it. Also, I tried to really stay long today and use my feet more and it helped. I've been really cautious with using my feet since I was overusing it before, but today I tried to add a little more of it and it did help.

Also it hurts to sneeze right now, damn you GHD!

Sometimes you just have to think "I'm gonna go in there and just get it done" no thinking. I think especially as someone who's a big overthinker, this helps me a lot.
